Model United Nations

Model United Nations, also known as Model UN or MUN, is an educational simulation and academic competition in which students learn about diplomacy, international relations, and the United Nations. MUN involves and teaches research, public speaking, debating, and writing skills, in addition to critical thinking, teamwork, and leadership abilities

Participants in Model UN conferences (the "delegates") represent countries or, occasionally, organizations in a committee. In the committee, delegates discuss a topic or topics related to the focus of their committee. Delegates conduct research before conferences and formulate positions that they will then debate with their fellow delegates in committee.

At the end of a conference, the best-performing delegates in each committee will receive awards.

High School Model United Nations (H!MUN) 2015

H!MUN is an annual MUN competition for high school students, organized by Universitas Indonesia Model United Nations Club. This year, H!MUN 2015 will be held on Friday to Sunday, May 8-10, 2015, at the prominent Universitas Indonesia Depok Campus.

Tailored to high school students, the people behind H!MUN 2015 believe that young people should start their Model UN journey early. That is why we dedicate H!MUN 2015 only for high school students across Indonesia, to give the opportunity for potential students to embrace the diplomats within and build their future from such a young age.
